Alistair has a PhD in Environmental Engineering and is a research fellow at The University of Queensland. Alistair is a global leader in understanding greenhouse gas dynamics of freshwater and marine environments. His work has covered a diverse range of environments including hydropower reservoirs, farm dams, estuaries and undersea volcanoes. Alistair works closely with industry and government to translate research findings into policy and practice. His current focus is on developing low-cost, scalable monitoring systems to improve greenhouse gas emissions estimates at local, regional and global scales.
