Brian leads GE Vernova’s Hydro Power business in Asia, which has the broadest range of hydro solutions and services: from water to wire, from individual equipment to complete turnkey solutions, for new plants and the installed base. He reports to Hydro Power CEO Frederic Ribieras.

Brian Selby was appointed General Manager of Hydro Asia in March 2021, prior to which he led the APAC (ASEAN, ANZ, KOREA) region as the Managing Director since February 2019. Before joining Hydro, Brian led the Global Alliance Management for GE Ventures Licensing as the Managing Director for six years, focused on accelerating growth of GE Ventures' strategic initiatives by leveraging GE’s intellectual property with GE customers, GE businesses and GE Global Research centres outside of North America.

Prior to GE, Brian spent eleven years as part of the senior leadership team of Elemica Inc. a global cloud-based supply chain management solutions company providing modular and scalable SCM cloud applications to capital intensive manufacturing industries.

Before joining Elemica, Brian spent nine years with GE Asia in various roles of increasing responsibility within GE Corporate and GE Plastics, including Business Development, Sourcing and Commercial Sales.

Brian started his career as a lawyer in the USA focused on international trade, mergers and acquisitions and commercial litigation.

Born in 1961, Brian holds a JD (IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law) and History Degree (University of Chicago). He is based in Singapore where he has lived and worked for the past 27 years.
