Dr Hunt leads the Energy and Climate team at KAUST with the objective to decarbonise Saudi Arabia by 2060, particularly studying the role of seasonal pumped hydro storage in providing seasonal energy and water storage for the Kingdom. Prior to joining KAUST in 2023, Dr Hunt worked at IIASA for seven years, mapping the global potential for pumped storage hydro.
