Gregory Thomas is the founder and CEO of the Natural Heritage Institute, an international NGO that has been engaged in pioneering proof of concept work on the potential for augmenting power output from hydropower reservoirs by deploying solar arrays at utility scale that are fully integrated into the hydropower operations.  

From this work, NHI concludes that such solar retrofits are likely the fastest and cheapest pathway to decarbonising the power sector in countries with a rich endowment of hydropower. NHI has entered into a MoU with the International Hydropower Association to jointly advance this innovation.

Greg has previously served on the faculties of several major universities in the United States and in China and served as legal counsel to the United States Department of Energy.
