Istiana Maftuchah works at OJK Indonesia as a senior analyst in the Department of Capital Market Regulation and Development. Prior to this role, she worked in several departments at OJK, including Banking Research and Regulation, Assistant to the OJK Chairman, International Department and Integrated Financial Sector Policy Group.

Before joining the capital market department, she was seconded to the OECD in the Environmental Department, where she was in charge of the Clean Energy Mobilisation and Investment Programme (CEFIM programme).  However, all of these roles share a common objective: to build a foundation and promote sustainable finance and its implementation.

She has a strong interest in several topics closely related to the implementation of sustainable finance, including clean energy financing, ESG, impact investing, transition finance, climate risk for financial institutions, carbon trading and sustainability disclosure. To date, she has been dedicated to building and developing sustainable finance for almost sixteen years, primarily in Indonesia. In addition to being the author of the book "Sustainable Finance: Developing a Suitable Financial System Approach for Indonesia," she also teaches at various universities and contributes to several international journals.
