Marconi Madai is the Senior Vice President for Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) of Sarawak Energy, Malaysia’s largest developer and provider of renewable energy. He leads a multidisciplinary team of over 600 strong to drive HSSE excellence in Sarawak Energy while simultaneously ensuring business continuity management in line with the group’s business objectives.

As the HSSE chief of Sarawak's primary integrated utility group, Marconi stands at the forefront of propelling best-in-class HSSE performance in alignment with Sarawak Energy's ambitious vision to become a regional renewable energy powerhouse. Since 2017, he has spearheaded our transformative journey in HSSE, fostering a corporate ethos that places safety as paramount and underscores shared responsibility. Moreover, he has instilled a proactive HSSE culture within the organisation, ensuring that each individual assumes accountability for HSSE, regardless of their role. Marconi also holds the mandate for overseeing corporate environmental compliance and championing excellence, thereby steering us toward a more sustainable energy future.
