M. Alhaqurahman Isa is a dedicated environmental engineer and renewable energy expert with a strong academic foundation and extensive professional experience in the energy sector. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung, where his research focused on the sustainability of micro-hydro systems in remote locations. He has contributed significantly to the field through various scientific publications and conference presentations. His expertise extends to hydrogeology and environmental geoscience, where he earned a Master of Science from the University of Goettingen, Germany. During this time, he researched groundwater systems and climate change modelling in-depth. His work has been recognised through scientific publications and conference contributions.

He has held pivotal roles in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, where he played a vital role in programme planning, policy formulation and project evaluation for renewable energy development in Indonesia. His leadership in Micro Hydro Power Plant projects, by overseeing project documentation, quality control and progress reporting, has successfully implemented numerous projects in remote areas.

Currently serving as the Coordinator of Business Services and Supervision of New Renewable Energy at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, he continues to be a driving force in advancing sustainable energy solutions in Indonesia. His passion for environmental sustainability and renewable energy is evident in his academic achievements, research contributions and professional accomplishments.
