Bhishma Pandit is an Upstream Operations Officer, serving as an energy specialist for the upstream infrastructure Asia Pacific team. He leads hydropower projects in Nepal, India and Indonesia.

Bhishma has more than 20 years of professional experience in energy efficiency, hydropower and renewable energy. He works as an expert in the field of energy efficiency and hydropower throughout different countries, providing energy and resource efficiency audits and designs of hydropower and renewable energy systems to enhance sustainable energy resources.

Bhishma has experience as a design and fabrication engineer as well as project manager. He also leads hydropower investment projects in Nepal to bring more investments to the challenging market.

Mr. Pandit holds a Master’s degree from Otto-Von-Guericke-University Magdeburg, Germany and Mechanical Engineering from Kathmandu University, Nepal. Prior to joining the WBG, he worked in the GIZ, UNDP, ICIMOD, NRECA and other different international organisations.
