Mr Parveen Mittar Nanda is a Civil Engineer Graduate from NIT Allahabad with a post graduate degree from NIT Kurukshetra India. He has more than 36 years of experience in hydropower and pumped storage project development.

Parveen has also done extensive work on off stream closed loop pumped storage projects which include making modular pumped storage projects and optimising time and cost.

He has identified and conceptualised ten Mega PSPs worth 120 GW for the Greenko Group which are presently under implementation. Currently, 5200 MW of PSPs are being constructed with the first one at 1680 MW ready for commissioning by the start of 2024. Other projects are planned for commissioning before 2029. These include the world’s largest integrated renewable energy projects with storage (IRESP) of 5.23 GW where the pumped storage component is around 1.68 GW.

Parveen has hands on experience from concept to commissioning of hydropower and other renewable energy projects and is associated with around twenty hydropower projects and an equal number of solar and wind projects across 15 states In India.

For the last five years, he has worked closely with the central government of India on redefining the clearance requirements for implementation of off stream pumped storage project development in the country.
