Mr. Sauvé has a Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from École Polytechnique and a management degree from École des Hautes Études Commerciales. After working in environmental, health and safety management systems as a consultant for Stantec Engineering, he joined Hydro-Québec in 2005.

His mandates at Hydro-Québec include the development of an assessment methodology for its Sustainability Report in concordance with AA1000 and GRI, the company’s GHG emissions audit and implementing and upholding the ISO 14001 certification.

As Principal Lead Auditor, Paul managed Hydro-Québec’s Environmental Compliance Audit Program and coordinated the Eastmain-1 Development Project's Hydropower Sustainability Standard certification effort. Most recently, he joined the CAN/CSA 9700 Committee in charge of elaborating an ESG standard.
