Book nowMr Adhikari pursued his Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the National Institute of Technology, India and Masters’ degree in Power System Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has acquired a wide range of experiences and expertise in his long career of around 28 years in various areas of the power sector such as energy planning, hydropower generation, transmission, distribution and power trading. He has been responsible for accomplishing various policy-related tasks for the Government of Nepal in the power sector. He has been conferred with one of the highest civilian awards of Nepal, Suprabal Janasewa Shree, by the President of Nepal in recognition of his contribution and services in energy sector.
He has represented his country as a delegate in different government-level committees on power sector cooperation between Nepal and neighbouring countries. His major areas of interest include energy policies, cross border power trading, clean energy transition, energy security, geopolitics and energy partnership and cybersecurity for energy infrastructures. He is keen to share his knowledge of how his country with abundant hydropower resources can play a crucial role for the clean energy transition in South Asia through cross border power trading.
