Stephen Lewis was born in 1962 and educated in the UK, graduating from Leeds University with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1984. After graduation, he spent more than ten years as a senior design engineer within the GEC Turbine Generator Company. After that, he held both commercial and operational executive leadership roles in the power industry for Alstom and Voith in Asia for over 27 years. In October 2015, he joined Voith Hydro and is currently the President of Voith Hydro for the Asia Pacific region
