Edite Nhantumbo has degrees in Remote Sensing and GIS and Environmental Management and Territorial Planning from Universidade de Lisboa of Portugal. Currently, she is Head of the Environmental Management department at Hidroeléctrica de Cahora Bassa, with ten years of professional experience in environmental management including water quality monitoring. Nhantumbo has participated in several research projects including Lidar and Rov survey, the ecological study of Cahora Bassa reservoir, environmental monitoring of the Cahora Bassa reservoir, satellite based water quality monitoring for Cahora Bassa and biodiversity and resilience assessment studies for Cahora Bassa Reservoir.
