After specialised training in civil engineering, Xavier Ducos gained practical field experience working as resident engineer and works supervisor for several large scale projects (dams, hydropower plants, substations and HV transmission lines, irrigation areas and roads) in Africa and in Southeast Asia. He has also participated in numerous hydropower and dams development schemes around the world as a design engineer. With 25 years of experience in hydropower and dams, he is now involved as a project director for hydropower and dams development schemes in France and abroad, and also as a civil engineering expert. He is now the Director of the "Dams, Hydropower and Infrastructures" activity sector of Artelia.
